Ok, so this isn't really my first meeting with my client. I've actually had several so far. But, this was the first time that I was able to show Dr. Flynt what I have in mind for the Wiki. After meeting him, what I've come away with, was that the main thing he wants is clarity for the potential students.
I've also learned that I need to work more closely with Ashley Warren than I do with Dr. Flynt. She's the closest thing that I've got to a SME. She knows the ins and outs of dealing with potential students, as well as the difficulties the students are having with the existing setup.
Later this week, I'm going to run my plans for the wiki by her. I want to show her the storyboard and get her input.

Reflecting on design decisions!
What have I gotten myself into! The scope and complexity of this project are more than I had originally thought. The more I think about it the more I add to it. I've gone from a simple wiki, to a more complicated project that will even include some video tutorials.
One thing that I'm really concerned about...
Dr. Flynt asked me to create this site for potential graduate students...I'm not positive that there's real instruction going on. Granted, this site will make it a lot easier for students, but I'm not sure that there's an instructional point to this project. I can add some outcomes, and the goal for potential students is to complete the application for grad school. But- the question remains- what are they really learning. At this point I think that I'm too far into the project to change it.
